Portmeirion

So our visit has been had and we are more the wiser of this crazy picturesque little welsh town. I thought this little village was visually stunning and is a very nice place to visit even if you are not aware of the cult series that took place there. There were a lot of points of interest to myself across the enire villagem, particularly the numerous archeways scattered throughout the village, alongside with the bright pastel colours which were persistant throughout the entire village.
My visit to the village felt almost as though i was escaping England as the destination shared very little architectural similarities to the rest of the country. The fact that it is also on the Gulf stream adds to the exotic sense this place carries, as there are plants that will be able to prosper there but will struggle anywhere else, due to the warm air currents.
I am currently in decision whether to create my own model based on the structures and sceneries i saw within this village or re-create my own version of an existing structure within the village
Here's a little something i threw together using inspiration from Portmeirion. It's a combination of east asian decorative rooves, namely Chinese and Indian but structured like an english country cottage. Let me know what you think :)
